Water Sports

The coastline is a haven for water sport enthusiasts. Just some of the options on offer are: snorkelling and scuba-diving, water skiing, kite surfing, sailing, jet skiing, body boarding and windsurfing. Log onto the Spanish Tourist Board’s website www.tourspain.es (under the “Coast and Beaches” section) for information on which areas are best suited for individual sports. Many companies offer tuition and rent out equipment, however, please ensure you link up with a reputable company, ask at a local Tourist Office for recommended companies. Much of the coastline is rocky with reefs and, in some areas, strong undertows are usual so be sure to watch out for flag warnings and have a safe and enjoyable time.
