Issues
Many factors contribute to make the stretch of coastline
spanning the Costa Blanca to Costa Almeria one of the
healthiest areas in the world to live. The environmental
combination of mountains, sun and salt marshes, coupled
with lack of industrial pollutants make the coastline
a positive haven. Environmental issues in Spain are
normally centred around ensuring the preservation of
“Salinas” (salt marshes) and Spain’s
natural flora and fauna from encroachment by property
developers. The Spanish Government is generally progressive
on environmental issues.
